A Prayer For Our Country: 

Yes, Lord Jesus, may the upcoming National Election glorify thy name. May the work of your hands be done on earth as it is in heaven. May we glorify thy name in all the earth!

A Reflection On The Armor Of God:

We all have probably heard or read something about our need to put on the Armor Of God.

St. Paul tells us this about the armor of God in his letter to the Ephesians.

¹⁰Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. ¹¹Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. ¹²For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. ¹³Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and having done everything, to hold your ground. ¹⁴So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, ¹⁵and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. ¹⁶In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. ¹⁸With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones. (Eph. 6: 10-18)

What is this Armor Of God? Or have you wondered what do I need to do to put on this Armor Of God for the protection from all of the demonic spirits in the principalities of Satan’s kingdom of darkness?

From what St. Paul reveals to us, in the above scripture reading, we are able to put on God’s protection by the authority given to us by Jesus Christ through his death and resurrection. It is simply through the name of “Jesus” we are given the protection of the Holy Spirit. This protection is the spiritual strength and power, given to us by Jesus, to use through the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.

Therefore we put on the Armor Of God when we simply use the name of “Jesus” to have the Holy Spirit protect us from any and all of the evil spirits of Satan’s world.

Who Jesus Is:

The spoken Word has become flesh.

A Prayer For Peace:

I pray for a Peaceful Spirit to come and replace an agitated and angry spirit among the people in the world. Send us a Spirit of Praise to replace the spirit of contentiousness and confusion in the lives of so many who lack the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
